Hi,

Does anyone know how I can avoid having a spinning wheel recorded in the beginning of the video?

Thanks,

Zoran

You’re welcome! Explaining clearly is a priority skill for any trainer/teacher/coach and my professional career gave me a lot of experience.

Not sure to understand your question correctly.  I suspect you talk about the preloader icon?  Lot needs to be uploaded when opening a Captivate course. That is much slower for HTML output than in the previous SWF output. Moreover audio and video are only uploaded when entering the slide where they are, which can cause again the appearance of a preloader icon.

Avoiding is impossible. Try to keep the file size down. Never put audio/video on the first slide. Use graphics in the size you need them, don’t resize them in Captivate. Reduce the size of audio and video by taking out what is unnecessary: mono is fine for narration, lower the bitrate, resize video the the size exactly needed etc.. Do not use very long slides but distribute over multiple slides… The used bandwidth is important of course as well. If you aim at mobile devices make the file size even smaller.
