I am having trouble getting the glossary widget to appear it the .exe file I published.  I know you cannot use it in .html, but if there is no longer support for flash, then how can I use this?  Using Adobe Captivate 2019 and have dug through the Lynda videos, Adobe’s tutorials, and even the book by Pooja Jaisingh.  What am I missing?

There is a post over on the Adobe Community Forums on this very topic you might find helpful: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/publish-to-exe-fails-in-captivate/td-p/11859015

EXE-files are dead, since they are based on SWF technology.

The only publish method for courses with interactivity is using HTML5 output. The Learning Interactions are compatible, but some of them need uploading to a webserver (or LMS in case of a SCO) to be fully functional.
