I received my ‘Adobe Certified Professional – Adobe Captivate’ badge last year (I had taken the certification a year prior, but then I had to re-take the exam last year when they included Captivate in the ACP program). Today I just noticed that the badge has expired. I cannot find any information on renewing this certification. Has anyone here gone through recertification? Do you know if there is a new test, or do we have to take the same test we took last year and the year before? Since there hasn’t been an update to Captivate, I just wondered if we really had to spend $500 to take the exact same exam.
Who did you take your certification through? There are several companies that offer Captivate certification.
If you got Certification via the Adobe site, then you only have to take the exam every two years, even if a new version comes out (like one is scheduled to do so in early 2022).
This is from the Adobe Site: “Adobe Certified Professional program does not attach a product version number to the certification. Once you get certified in Adobe Captivate, your certification is valid for 2 years. After 2 years, you are required to take the exam once again to keep your certified status active. This system ensures that you remain certified on the latest version of the product.”
This means that you do not have to take nor pay for training again, but unfortunately, that means you have to pay the $500 for the certification again (or $300 if you have the Education Discount).

Hi Kim, I have no line of sight for this, but you can email ACPCaptivate@adobe.com or ACPCaptivate@Carahsoft.com with any questions or concerns. I would email both addresses.
