In Captivate 2019, I have a slide that has four buttons.  Each button when I click on it I can go to options.  In advanced options I have upload the new audio.  Clicked update actions and close action.  It will not play the new MP3 file.

What am I missing?????

Can you please provide some more details?  What do you mean by ‘Advanced options’?  Are you talking about advanced actions? Do you have issues with the execution of the actions or after having replaced an existing audio clip in the Library?

When I click on the button on the slide.  I then on the right hand column click on properties.  Then I go down to actions and click on it.  Then a box appears that says script for that slide.  To the right of it is a file folder.  I click on the file folder.  It opens the advanced action panel.  In the play audio action I import the new MP3 file, hit update action and then close action.  t will not play the audio.  I have removed the old audio click from the library.

Why do you create an advanced action with only one command? That could have been done with a simple action.  The slide will remain paused, but that is not a problem with Play Audio. Is the audio file playing when you try it from the Library? Off topic: it is always better to import a WAV instead of a MP3 file. Did you test with Preview, HTML in Browser?

It’s possible that you don’t have the correct action tied to the button. Double check the name of the action for the button and ensure it matches the name of the action with the updated audio file.
