Thank you for this feedback! Zooming in would probably help with accessibility.
If you mean, zoom in or zoom out the timeline so you can see smaller time increment or see more of the duration of the slide, you can drag the slide below the timeline. See attached image, and the part in red rectangle.

Not sure to understand your question correctly. If you are using the newbie UI, you are stuck with a Timeline panel which is bound to the bottom docking station, where you can only increase the vertical size. If you switch to the Expert UI, by activating the option ‘Enable custom workspaces….’ under Preferences, General settings, you can drag the timeline panel to make it floating (or drag it to another monitor) and increase its size both horizontally and vertically.
However if you are talking about the size of the buttons, objects within the Timeline panel, you can only increase their size by changing the resolution of your monitor or the display resolution.
