My Captivate Assets Steal Focus from the HTML Page

Hi All.

Issue: Every time I publish a Captivate asset, I have to go into the CPM.js file and remove these pieces of code: a&&a.focus() and document.getElementById(“playImage”).focus(); or else, when the page that it is iframed into is launched, the focus goes right to the Captivate asset instead of staying at the top of the page.

Solution: I don’t have an easy one other than removing the above code each time I publish.

Can anyone help with this? Maybe some “on enter” code I can use?

Captivate needs a little refresh that would solve everything and update the features to modern standard.

This suggestion is most likely frowned upon, but if you go to the application’s main folder you can find that code in the base files that are applied to every published file and modify them at the root. Where your captivate files are stored are also an HTML template and other code documents that can be altered. You’ll want to check each for the code you are attempting to modify, save a copy (in case your edits crash the load) and then attempt republishing. It’s not a recommended action, but it is possible.
