Preferred browser for VR?

I tried to use the sample VR project that comes with captivate with my cardboard VR headset and iPhone using Safari as my browser. The screen was definitely not working correctly. Is there a preferred browser for VR, and if so why isn’t there a note about it on the QR landing page?

In my previous discussions and research on preferred browsers when working with Adobe Captivate, Chrome was consistently mentioned as being the best browser to use for any type of previewing/testing.

Make sure to also clear your computer/device’s cache regularly.

I use Chrome, certainly not Safari.

How about Firefox Reality? I haven’t tried it myself (so far I haven’t got a VR headset), but I do 360° VR projects with CP and 3D Vista and an expert in the 3D Vista User Community is recommending FR very much. See here.

This looks like it works with software based VR headsets rather than the cardboard kind that work with Adobe VR/phone browsers. It looks like this doesn’t have a phone-based (iOS) app.

You are probably right. Firefox Reality is for standalone VR headsets. Like Oculus Go. But these have their own (native) browsing software. Forget my comment. I take it back. On an Android device Google Chrome is good, as expected. But on iOS, where as I remember Chrome has to be build on the Safari Engine (this is Apple’s rigorous policy) I’m not sure.
