Captivate 2019 Custom buttons will not display rest of project

My client does not like the buttons on the skins. I need custom buttons at the top of my content slides that toggle the TOC, Pause/Continue, Audio On/Off, CC On/Off. These buttons work perfectly. I tried using shapes on the master first, but could not change the state. I then moved to the first content slide in the filmstrip and created buttons so the state would change based on the toggle action.

I have another group of information that shows when one of the “Resource” buttons is selected. I was able to make that group (which includes an object to hide it once the learner is done). That group shows for the rest of the project perfectly.

This is a responsive project. Not using Fluid Boxes because of LMS. I’m using version 11.5.5.53.

I need my custom buttons to show for the rest of the project. Please help!

Which workflow did you use for your responsive project, since you say that it is not Fluid Boxes? Did you use Breakpoint views or publish a non-responsive project as Scalable HTML?

Indeed you cannot address state changes in shape or image buttons on master slides, because those objects have no ID. In Fluid Boxes you cannot use timed for the rest of the project, which would explain your problem. Please answer my first question.
