- Automatic Hint after 2 wrong hotspot clicks.

Use case shows tweaking of the built in messages for an interactive object to achieve the goal: show a different message (Hint) after two failed clicks on a hotspot. Introduction to user variables, events and advanced actions (decisions).
Intro
This short blog post is created to answer a question in the Adobe forum about clicking an interactive object with multiple attempts. After two wrong clicks, the Retry message should be replaced by a Hint message. There are multiple workflows possible, but I tried with this simple solution to use as much of the existing features as possible. The Hint will be only text. A more elaborate solution could be a Hint where the text is accompanied with a highlight box and/or other graphical elements.
For new users creating this example is a good introduction to:
- creating and using variables
- creating an advanced action with 1 and 2 decisions
- difference between a non-conditional and a conditional decision in an advanced action
- using a Reset action
- creating dynamic feedback messages
It is a non-responsive project, published as Scalable HTML.
