I was beginning to work with Video Demos and when I tried to create a new project the second time, I got the ‘high density display” error message. I watched Paul Wilson and corrected the DPI Awareness = 1 but it still will not work. When I try to open a new Video Demo project, it shuts down Captivate completely. I can reopen and retry but the same thing keeps happening.

I’ve had a similar situation that Adobe has been unable to help with so far. Video Demo started to crash when I purchased a new webcam, the Logitech BRIO. I don’t do much Video Demo work because I prefer to use Camtasia as my screen recording solution as it’s more robust than Adobe Captivate. I did reach out to Adobe Technical Support on this well over a year ago, but they were unable to help me. It is related to the drivers installed by this device because when I reinstall Windows and attempt to record a Video Demo, it works. However, as soon as I plug in my webcam, the next time I try to use Video Demo, Captivate crashes. This is true even when the webcam is disconnected. So if I need to record a Video Demo (which is rare now that I use Camtasia), I have a separate computer that I can use.
