Remove the “Continue from where you stopped last time?” screen when no LMS
(3)

Hello,

I am creating self contains trainings (without elearning output) based on FlatBlue example available in Assets.

But when I publish them, the second time I open the module, I always have a “Continue from where you stopped last time?” screen and I want to remove it. I searched a lot in options and preferences, I also looked int blogs and forum, but I can’t see where to disable it.

Someone already faced this and found a solution?

Regards

Hello Lieve,

Thanks a lot for your answer, that’s exactly the option I was looking for. Disabling it remove the cookies management and we restart course from beginning each time.

I don’t find the logic in putting this option in TOC. Without your help, I would probably never have found it.

Best regards,

Jerome

Please, could you mark my answer as being correct? That is out of courtesy to other users looking for a solution to a similar problem.

Captivate has a way of Bookmarking, which can be used as alternative to Bookmarking by the LMS. I suspect that this way has been turned on. I don’t know the project ‘Flatblue’ you are talking about, it is probably not from the Asset Library where I have explored all Quick Start Projects. That means I cannot double-check myself. You will have to do it this way:

  • Open the Table of Contents from the Project menu.
  • Turn the TOC on (may be temporarily, you can turn it off later).
  • Click the Settings button.
  • Check if ‘Self-Paced Learning’ is checked, if that is the case UNcheck it. It is checked in the screenshot which I include.
  • Save the settings, eventually you can turn off the TOC now.
  • Check if the option ‘Self-paced Learning

Test again in Preview or after publishing. Normally bookmarking by TOC, which is based on cookies, is now turned off.
