Hello,
In Captivate, I copied a slide, all elements of the slide are copied and renamed with a new name (incremented):
Image_1 –> Image_2
SmartShape_1 (button) –> SmartShape_2
But the script is not duplicated. It keeps the same name and image/shape names in the script are not updated.
So, click on SmartShape_1 button or on SmartShape_2 button execute same actions and show/hide the elements of the first slide…
Is there a way to automatically duplicate the script and get it updated?

I would love to help you, but this is marked as being a blog, not a discussion. Does this mean that you don’t want answers? The renaming which is called ‘smart labeling’ is necessary because each object in Captivate needs to have a unique ID.
You wouldn’t have this problem if you preferred to use Shared actions, not Advanced actions. I could offer you a lot of links to blog posts where I used Shared actions. Here is one:
