Howdy y’all! Need urgent helpRight now, I am creating a module for a transit company for their “Apprentice program”. Images and diagrams of too many tools and machine parts are driving me CRAZY. Just wondering if there is a way to design knowledge checks in Captivate where the learner will have to match the image with the description. Suggestions appreciated 😊

Hi! I’m an instructional designer who frequently works with Captivate. To create a knowledge check where learners match images with descriptions, you can use the “Hotspot” question type in Captivate. Simply upload your images and descriptions, and then use the hotspot tool to create clickable areas on the image that corresponds to the correct answer. You can also customize the feedback that learners receive based on whether their answer is correct or incorrect.

Hello! As a fellow Captivate user, I can relate to the challenge of designing knowledge checks with complex machine parts and tools. To create a matching exercise, you can use the “Drag and Drop” question type in Captivate. Simply upload your images and descriptions, and then use the drag-and-drop tool to create draggable objects and drop targets. You can also customize the feedback that learners receive based on whether their answer is correct or incorrect. Good luck with your Apprentice program module!

I would use Adobe Captivate’s drag-and-drop functionality. You can set up a mixture of shapes with text and images very easily. Here is a tutorial I did on them: https://youtu.be/_4eicWgtB_M

Hey there! You can use the “Matching” question type in Captivate to create knowledge checks where the learner has to match images with descriptions. It’s a great way to test their understanding of the material and make the module more interactive. You can also add feedback for incorrect answers to help learners learn from their mistakes. Let me know if this works for you 🙂

Adam, you may have missed my answer. It is not ‘out of the package’ to be able to create a Matching question which includes images! I have explained how you need to work in the link I posted in my original answer.

Hi! If this is what you are looking for-knowledge checks using drag and drop will be helpful. You can add images and descriptions while using such knowledge checks. Offer a suitable i-text.

I am not sure to understand what you want exactly. If you want a default type of knowledge check slide like MCQ, which are essentially text-based you can have a look at my blog, where I have explained how to replace text by an image, have a post about matching, and one about MCQ. Here is one link;
