“All new Captivate” seems buggy – crashing.
(4)

Hello. I began using the ‘all-new Captivate’ yesterday and it seems to frequently crash.

Also some features don’t seem to be working as they should, such as some of the interactions, and also the responsive feature to switch displays from tablet to phone to desktop.

Where is the correct place to report these bugs so that the developers can be alerted adn fix them?

Thank you in advance.

Kristy thank you for sharing this.

I also found this: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html.

which actually didn’t load properly for me. And if you look in one of my other posts from 6 July, an Adobe moderator provided an email address where we can submit bug reports and feature requests – and the moderator said this was a quicker path to victory since it gets to the engineers sooner.

“… Sorry to hear about the frequent crash amongst other queries and feedback that you’d like to share with our team. Please mail your queries to – CaptivateHelp@adobe.com . (24*5 support team)”

Fingers crossed! Please keep me/us posted on whatever you learn/report/whatever. I am excited to learn this program, and it is tough since it is still figuring itself out. But we can all help each other I hope!

I am new to Captivate but not to Adobe products and this software is buggy and crashing for me as well.

If you go to the Help menu, then “Provide Feedback…” it takes you to this site. https://captivate.uservoice.com/forums/939318-adobe-captivate-feature-requests

I’m on Mac Ventura OS .

This may help with buggy sessions:

  1. C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe. Here rename Elearning Assets folder to Elearning Assets.old.
  2. In the same location rename Adobe captivate to Adobe captivate.old
  3. Then go to: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2019 x64\utils
  4. Run Clean preferences Win.bat file
  5. Make sure that you try all these steps when Captivate is closed
