Multiple Choice New Captivate
(1)

We frequently have multiple choice questions that ask about an image that appears on the same slide. Is there any way to add an image for this purpose to a multiple choice slide in the new Captivate? I tried adding one in the background but couldn’t control its placement, so clicking on “original size” centered it under the question text.

We also include custom buttons that allow the learner to go back to review (i.e. not go back to the previous slide). It looks like you can only add preset buttons to multiple choice slides (and that you cannot control what they do/where they go). Is that correct?

You are not the first to ask this question. You can use images as answers, but adding an image to a question slide (which was possible in previous versions) seems to be impossible except for filling the background which you already discovered.

Customizing had the lowest priority in this version, developers are expected to use the predefined, canned template slides and containers, not ask for customization. It was already bit hidden in previous versions to add custom buttons to quiz slides, to tweak the default submit process. Because I keep for the moment mainly to Captivate Classic due to the many limitations in the new Captivate (my clients never ask for responsive projects but have many other requirements which are impossible in the new version), I have not tried to find tweaks for quiz slides. If I have time and find a possible workaround, will publish it.
