Any advice on getting the new Captivate to work reliably?
(2)

I installed Captivate on my normal computer and found it unusable…so I set up a brand new high spec PC with the latest Win11 22H2 and still have lots of problems with simulation capture and Captivate working reliably.  Any advice from someone who actually has this working?  Should I downlevel the OS to win10?  Use a Mac Mini?

I have a bunch of software simulations I’d like to do.  Access to new hardware and operating systems is no problem.

You will get help from the support team, just pop in to tell you that I have the new version working along with Captivate Classic (11.8.2) on one of my PCs. Just know that at this moment I would not use the new version for Software simulations, and it doesn’t have Video Demo yet on board. Check out version 12 for its functionalities to create a responsive project. Use Captivate Classic at this moment for screen capture in software simulations and Video Demo. For that type of projects a responsive output is rarely necessary. You can publish from Captivate Classic to a rescalable HTML5.  That will play perfectly on all devices, but only in landscape mode. One example why version 12, always publishing to responsive, is an issue: if using for Training/Assessment, the responsiveness will cause automatic panning and zooming to the region where the learner is supposed to click or to enter a text. That is something you will not want as trainer.
