Slide Transition Picklist missing in update to Captivate classic.

I just switched from Captivate 2019 to Captivate Classic.  The pick list for slide transition isn’t there anymore.  on the properties panel you just get the slide duration… no pick list.

Hi Karen,

Slide transition is not there anymore as Flash/SWF feature is now EOL. However, you can add effects to smart shapes/buttons. Insert smart shape/button on the slide in Cp Classic 11.8.3 > Go to timing tab > Apply the effect.

Thanks,

Hi Karen,

Slide Transition is not there anymore as SWF is now EOL. However, you can apply effects to button or smartshapes. Select the smart shpes/Button > Click on the Timing Tab > Select the effects.

PFA the screenshot for your reference.

You are now on version 11.8.2. In that version most of the SWF-related features were taken out (like publishing to SWF). Slide transitions were SWF-based, and although you still did see them in previous versions they would never be functional for HTML output. However the team has overlooked that some of those transitions are functional when you publish to MP4, which is still possible. Personally I don’t know why developers use an interactive eLearning tool to create passive video but that is my opinion.
