I would like to know how can I create a blog in Captivate?
Hi Everyone,
I would like to know how can I create a blog in Captivate?
Could you give us more details about your request? What do you mean when you say creating a blog with Captivate?
Thank you,
Faruk
Captivate is an eLearning authoring tool, not a tool like WordPress dedicated to the creation of blogs.
A blog is also meant to be published on the web, but it will rarely have more interactivity than scrolling up/down, clicking some hyperlinks, use a menu.
An eLearning authoring tool is meant to create published HTML output which functions as an interactive tutorial. It is possible to include such an interactive tutorial in a blog (I use an iframe for that purpose). I have been blogging since 15 years and developing tutorials in Captivate since two decades. Here is an example of a blog post, where I included such an interactive tutorial. I use posthaven as my blog tool, because I don’t want to bother with spending time setting up the blog because my focus is on the content and eventually the included tutorials:

Thanks again Lieve !! My guess based on @nashmialrashedi’s query is that they might need sometime to learn the ropes within this community. Once they learn the trade then they can learn the tricks of the trade from you Lieve. @nashmialrashedi feel free to create a few sample blogs and test out the platform. You can always reach out to influencers like Lieve who are very helpful.
Nagendra, my answer was based on the word ‘blog in Captivate’, but I may be wrong. So I tried to explain the difference between a blogging tool and an eLearning authoring tool. It is the same problem for those who still believe that eLearning can only be passive video which is a shame.
Don’t call me an influencer nor an expert. I really feel that this is what causes me being banned in many situations.
Hi
