Creating Courses within ALM that include a non-scrubbable video file and a Quiz
(1)

I would like to create a course that includes a non-scrubbable video file and a quiz. I have an Adobe Captivate subscription and an Adobe Learning Manager subscription.  How do I accomplish that requirement/how do you disable video scrubbing in Captivate files uploaded to Adobe Learning Manager?

If I disable the play bar in Adobe Captivate and use the play bar within Adobe Learning Manager, then users lose the pause/resume functionality. Content tracking/the ability to resume content is supposed to be possible within Adobe Learning Manager. However, if users pause the video and exit out of the course – they then have to restart the video from the beginning and they have to remember where they left off.

Is it possible that you posted the same question on two forums by Adobe a while ago? I tried to answer it from Captivate’s side, but didn’t you get an answer from ALM yet?

Since you have the video on one slide, it is normal behavior that it will play from the start in a new version. I seem to remember that it is slide video, not event video which you used but that doesn’t matter.

My suggestion is to use Captivate’s playbar on the project but to disable the Progress bar. However if you need that progress bar on other slides, why not replace it by the TOC which also offers sort of progress information.
