Missing Slide Options/Transitions in Captivate version 11.8.2
(1)

I just updated to Captivate version 11.8.2 and guess I should have read if any problems. I use the slide options/transitions for mp4 videos in Captivate and now they’re gone. It looks like they are not coming back? I thankfully still have an old version of Captivate on another computer to fix the video I’m working on because I need to change a transition and can’t do it this version. I would be out of luck. I hope they bring them back as they’re still used for the video outputs. Wonder how to let the developers know this is needed. Now I’m going to have to do extra work to get them done/fix them, etc.

That version is buggy, but your problem is due to the fact that ‘all’ SWF-related features have been taken out of 11.8.2. That is the case for the slide transitions. I am aware of the fact that ‘some’ of those transitions were functional for publishing to MP4 and I have reported this to the team. But focus is on the new version. Personally I also regret the loss of all Learning interactions, while most of them worked perfectly for output to HTML. That is another reason why I continue using 11.5.5
