Hey there! I just tried recording a software simulation in Adobe Captivate. Please can anyone help me with adjusting the window size while recording? It by default records the entire screen. How do I select just one window for recording?
Hi! Before starting the recording, you get a pop-up to set your preferences. On the top of the pop-up, you will see the 3 icons for Fullscreen capture, Application window, and Custom size. Select the Application window option to select just one window for recording. In Custom size, you can manually adjust the recording area’s width and height. Check out the screenshot below. Hope this helps!
The size of the captured window will always be the same in one project, but needs not to be the entire screen. You can allow panning/zooming if necessary. You can choose for an application and the capture window will adapt to that application in its present size. You can choose a custom size as well.
If you explained what your exact goal is, maybe I can point out some tricks. I understand you are using either Assessment or Training mode, because you label it as ‘interactive’, which is not the case for Demo mode.
