I am trying to open a project that I have been working on for the past month. I saved my project last night at 4PM and when I attempted to open it this morning I received this error message. The project is saved on a network drive so storage isn’t an issue and it was not emailed to me so it should not be corrupted. My computer did restart unexpectedly last night and that may be what is contributing to the error. Has anyone experienced this and if so were you able to restore your project?
I would reach out to Adobe Technical Support as there are some things they can assist with that us regular users cannot. You can reach them at captivatehelp@adobe.com.
The problem may be exactly what you mentioned ‘The project is saved on a network drive’. Captivate development work needs to be on your system. Before or after developing you can upload to a networked drive.
I also would like to know which exact version you are using, for any question posted here on on the Adobe Captivate forum. There are so many versions around and the workflows may be quite different, since the most recent version was released. Normally you should have a backup project, but I hope it is not also stored on a networked drive Even synchronising like with OneDrive can cause issues, especially with the most recent version.
