Not able to open Captivate Classic project in new Captivate
When I open the new version of Captivate, I don’t see an option to open a classic Captivate .cptx file. I found some information about this on the Captivate support page; however, it says that you can open a .cpt file in the new version, not a .cptx file. But the old version only gives the option to create a .cptx file, and renaming it to a .cpt file doesn’t solve the problem.

This ability to open classic projects in the new Adobe captivate will be introduced in the next release of Adobe captivate 13.1. This should be generally available soon.
Has there been a change to this? We have been told Captivate Classic will not be available after 2026, however we have hundreds of modules that need to be transitioned into the new version. Is there a fix for this? And when will we know when video demos be available in new Captivate?
The video demos will be a huge issue for our team. I hope there is a fix before they take away classic altogether.

Adobe Captivate 13.0 does not have the feature to import Captivate Classic files. Our product team is working on this feature and will be introducing it in future updates of Adobe Captivate.

The ability to import an Adobe Captivate Classic project into the All-new Adobe Captivate 13.0 was not introduced in this version. You may have seen a sneak peek about this ability, but it will not be released until version 13.1. I don’t know when this update will be released, but each update has been about every 90 days or thereabouts. I hope that helps.
