The autoplay of Captivate 13 does not work
April 20, 2026

Even the autoplay was enabled, the slide does not play automatically. To keep the learning move on, the the NEXT button on playbar has to be enanbled. That creates new problem that the NEXT button on the playbar can skip the video added to the last slide, that video I have the expectation the learner have to watch and wait for the video to finish playing, but the NEXT button on play bar can enable the learner to skip the video. The slide does not move and freeze at the first slide if the NEXT button on playbar is disabled.

How or which function should I set to keep the slides played automatically?

Hi richardx35473953,

Thank you for your query.

In Adobe Captivate, slide progression is typically tied to user interaction. This is why disabling the Next button can prevent the slide from progressing, while enabling it allows learners to skip ahead.

However, you may consider the following options:

Option 1: Add a button on the slide and adjust its timing so it appears toward the end of the video. Assign an action such as “Go to Next Slide” to this button. Additionally, you can disable or remove the playbar so learners cannot skip the video using navigation controls.

Option 2: Add a bookmark near the end of the video and assign an interaction (for example, “Go to Next Slide”) triggered at that bookmark. This ensures the slide progresses only after the video finishes playing.

We hope this information addresses your query. You may also contact the technical support team directly via phone (400-991-5454 for China) or chat (https://www.adobe.com/getsupport) for assistance.
