Really Great eLearning Example

One of the common questions I see here and get on my YouTube channel is “where can I see some samples of good eLearning to inspire me?” Unfortunately most eLearning is someone’s intellectual property and isn’t easy to get to see. Either it’s owned by a company who developed it in-house, or paid to have it produced; or it was designed by a freelancer who isn’t about to give away their future residual income. Occasionally I run across some really […]

Non-Responsive or Responsive When It Comes To Video

I’m about to build a custom theme and some sample slides for a client and I want it to be really flexible. I know they are going to be using lots of embedded videos. Here is the question. With video in mind, should I create a non-responsive or responsive theme?

Font Based Icons in Responsive Design Using FontAwesome (this is really awesome)

Previously I showed viewers how they could include the icons from the FontAwesome font in your Blank Projects (non-responsive projects). [watch that video here] In this video, I will show you how you can get the same icons in your responsive projects and add an awesome quality to your eLearning projects. Remember that fonts are essentially scalable vector graphics. There is no better way to make beautiful navigation and control icons in responsive design projects. If you found my videos […]

Of course, then the decision isn’t yours to make and you have to use whatever software they give you. But I’ve found myself in different circumstances over the years and perhaps my experience can help you when it comes to making the decision for yourself. Student Teacher Pricing In between jobs, […]

Prevent Responsive Text Pop-Outs from Appearing

Some Adobe Captivate 2017 users are reporting seeing the following icon/button on their published responsive design eLearning projects. It appears when a text container has more text than can be accommodated by your minimum font size and the size of the text container. For example, when displaying large paragraphs of text on a smaller […]
