Retake Course Instead of Retake Quiz in Your Adobe Captivate Project

In this video tutorial, I show you how you can replace the standard Retake Quiz button with a custom solution that allows you to retake the course. This solution will reset your quiz but also jump to any slide in your course, and not just the first slide of your quiz. This is great if you prefer to have learners retake the entire course instead of just the quiz.

In this video tutorial, I’m going to show you how you can edit your audio clips directly inside Adobe Captivate instead of using another tool like Adobe Audition or Audacity.

Forced navigation without advanced actions in captivate

This tutorial details the steps to use multistate objects wherein the content changes in a single object using buttons, and keeping the next button hidden until all the buttons are clicked, without the use of advanced actions. This is achieved by the following 4 steps:

1. Name the slide ‘multistate’.
2. Name the multistate object ‘ms_[interaction name].
3. Name the buttons ‘[interaction name]’_user defined button name’.
4. Name the next button to be hidden ‘[interaction name]_completed’.

This method saves a lot of time compared to forced navigation using advanced actions that involve variable creation and action assignment.
