One of my favorite feature in Audio Editing dialog is, starting the next slide at a specific location at the audio waveform… just have to click ‘Select next slide at the cursor position’ button or simply press Ctrl+S or Cmd+S. Are you wondering what’s the fun? The fun begins when you want to play the pictures of an Image Slideshow according to the beats of an audio. What am I talking about? How did I achieve this?
The logic behind is simple… whenever we press Cmd+S or Ctrl+S when we are in Audio dialog the next slide starts at the cursor position. What you need to do is, play the audio, press the key whenever you feel the next slide needs to appear. Watch the demo below which explains step-by-step how to achieve this.

The audio got a little flaky on slide transitions… also, in the past, I’ve had issues with single audio files covering multiple slides not playing when I use the toc or playbar.
I like the idea, but maybe in future versions we can change the shortcut. I’ll sacrifice many of my gray matter hard-wired shortcuts for an individual program, but “Ctrl-S” (saving) has to remain the same or my head will pop.

Thank you for the feedback. I’ll check the audio again. About the Ctrl+S, this is only in the audio dialog. Outside the dialog it is still for saving the files.

I agree, Ctrl-S should be for ‘save’, irrespective of where it is invoked. I’m sure we can look at a different default key combination!
