Replacing the Default Click Sound
March 3, 2017
I’ve been an eLearning designer and developer since 2005, specializing in the creation of interactive and engaging learning experiences. In 2015, I launched my own eLearning design business and began producing Adobe Captivate video tutorials on my YouTube channel, CaptivateTeacher, to support clients and fellow developers. This content not only helped me grow my business globally—it also introduced me to a wider community of aspiring Captivate users who now turn to me for training and mentorship. Today, I provide both online and onsite Adobe Captivate training, empowering others to build effective eLearning with confidence. I’m proud to be part of the Adobe eLearning Community, sharing knowledge, collaborating with other developers, and contributing to the growth of this platform.

In this video, I show you how you can replace the default click sound for buttons with your own choice of sounds.

This doesn’t work. I have tried to make in one advanced action Play_sound+Jump_to_slide_n and sound dose not playing. I have also tried to delay action Jump_to_slide_n for 0.2 secconds but nothing. Does anyone else knows how to make change default on-click buttons sound? Thanks.

It does work. I have done it this week, and it worked successfully. Perhaps something else is preventing you from making this work. What hardware are you using? What exact version of Adobe Captivate are you using? Are you using WAV or MP3 files? How did you record these audio files?

I can confirm it does not work, I used Adobe Captivate 2019 release 11.8.0.710 on Macbook, using this sound https://freesound.org/people/EminYILDIRIM/sounds/536108/,  followed step by step but the sound does not come out when clicked, perhaps there are some steps missing?
