When I preview a closed caption project, if I click the little x in the right corner of the cc text everything disappears including the little x. How do I re open cc since there is no longer a button to do so?

You can add CC in CP2019 for Windows, but the option does not appear to be available for Mac. Is that the case, or is there a way to turn it on?
Are you using the most recent release which is 11.0.1.266. I remember Mac users having some problems with the first release.
If you are on CP2017, it is now possible to have CC visible from the start, which was not the case for older versions. For older versions you had to turn on CC either by the dedicated button on the Captivate playbar, or with a custom button which you put on the main master slide so that it appears on each slide. Do you use a playbar?
There is a playbar and my cc do appear from the start. My problem is that when I close the cc by clicking on the little x in preview, there’s no way to re open the cc? So I’m worried my viewers will close the cc and not be able to re open them?
The CC button on the playbar remains visible, you can instruct them to use that toggle button to make CC visible after they have closed it. I largely prefer a custom toggle button, because it will be bigger and more visible especially on smaller screens. Have a look at this blog:
Thanks for the toggle button info, I will have a look. I still don’t see a way to re open the cc on the playbar? I published my project to see if i could see it there and I couldn’t?
Did you include the CC button under, Project, Skin Editor?
