I just downloaded the demo version of Captivate 2019.  Is there a a way to create a project the below parameters, if so how?

1) Import Powerpoint (I can do the import – it is the next steps that get me),

2) Create “talking head” video capture of me presenting the slide deck, and

3) Have knowledge checks and tests so I can track student learning.

I see how I can complete a “video” of the project with me as a talking head – but it is just that a video…. it is not interactive.

Thank You!!

I would strongly recommend NOT to do the PPT import, but to start from scratch in Captivate.  You seem to want a presentation, not an eLearning Course? You could use Video Demo, which can capture both the webcam and the actions on the screen. Plat the Powerpoint and do that dual recording. The result is a CPVC file. There are now two possible workflows. For KC slides you could use the new Interactive Video  Pulbish the CPVC file to MP4, and start an Interactive video where you can insert bookmarks and overlay Content and KC slides. If you want also graded quiz slides, you need to create a normal CPTX file. Insert the cpvc file in the project. Add as many Quiz and KC slides as you want. If you want to distribute them over the  course, you will need to distribute the video in clips.

Really not a project for a newbie although it is possible.  It woud be better first to get acquainted with the basics of Captivate, but beleve me: PPT is not a good starting point.
