When Button is pressed, I want to perform three actions… and planning to have few second pause between actions written in ‘Advanced Action Script’. ‘Advanced Action’ script runs all command, But no Pause happening.  Why Pause is not working in Captivate ‘Advanced Action’ ?

I think Delay next action by… was the answer to your question.

Definatly I will go through your post…. meanwhile I solved that problem by using “Delay Next Action By” option in “Advanced Actions”…

That is the reason why I asked to see the action. In an advanced action ALL commands are executed in sequence from top to bottom and from left to right (if you have multiple decisions). If you have a sequence Pause, followed by Continue (which is the opposite) the Pause will be ignored, because Continue overrides it immediately.

Be careful with Delay Next actions (have plenty of examples on my blog as well). It will not respect any pausing point on a slide, and can only be used for actions on the same slide, not more slides following the active slide (one of my feature requests).

If you ever have questions about advanced or shared actions, please google on my blog.

Did you ever learn exactly what Pausing a timeline means? Have a look at:

I suspect you are new to advanced actions, and have problems understanding how they work. Can you please post a screenshot of that advanced action, it will be easier for me to explain what is wrong. Moroever tell which version of Captivate you are using, please!
