We are updating some old projects into Captivate 2019.  There are several that used Typekit fonts that don’t seem to be installed now, and Captivate replaced them with Times New Roman.  Is there any way to determine what the original font was and get it added back in?

Sorry, but Typekit fonts are never installed, there is some confusion. Those fonts are in your Creative Cloud account, which is linked with your Adobe ID. Normally you should be able to see them in the CC manager app, under the tab Fonts. You will just have to synchronize them again.

I think my question was unclear, I apologize.  I don’t know what fonts were used on the old projects, is there any way to figure that out?

If I am understanding correctly, once I know the fonts that were used I should be able to synchronize them again.  This would get rid of the Times New Roman and put the original font back.

They should appear in the CC app under Fonts, if the original developer logs in.

Ok, thank you.

So if the original developer is no longer with the organization, is there any way for someone else to locate the font they used?  That would be easier on us than to have to go and fix the spacing everywhere.

Hmmm…. Typekit was only available since CP2017, are you talking about that version? Or were those just simple fonts which were available on the developer’s system but were not web safe?  Were the fonts used in an object style, which was saved in a theme?

It looks like the projects were created in the 2017 version.  Our department got new computers a few weeks ago, and a lot of things did not get transferred over including the typekit fonts that had been installed.  The original developer of the project doesn’t remember which fonts were used.
