NOT WORKING – Live Preview on Devices > VR

Haven’t seen anyone actually SAY , “hey I have <this vr viewer>, and I Live Previewed my VR project, and then I used my Phone (eg. iPhone) to scan the QR code (say with Google Chrome VR cam) , which opened the project, and then I snuck it in my Google Cardboard, looked around and it worked!”

Because it DOESN’T?

I mean, isn’t that how it is supposed to work? I should be able to load a 360 image into a VR Cptx , Preview –> Live Preview on Devices, etc etc >  and finally hit the “ENTER VR” on my phone scree, and finally,  be looking around my 360 environment by moving my head. Because right now, I have the 2 images, but they’re off 90 degrees, and nothing happens.

Someone is just going to tell me

Same problem. I have tried both with the devices on the same network and have also tried publishing to our website and accessing it directly online from there…..just static pictures!!!

Did anyone ever find a resolution to this issue?

(Using 2019 Build 11.5.5.553 downloaded 02/12/2020)

Live Preview does not work as advertised; just a static image rotated incorrectly.

I DID get the HMD view to work by uploading the output to a website, then loading the URL on my iPhone, and then touching the HMD icon. But… the results are unsatisfactory, as the VR environment is not “full screen.” The browser’s (Safari) menus are still visible. I’ll have to try it w/another browser on the phone. But… IMHO this Captivate release is very much a work-in-progress.

I have the same issue (images sideways at  90 degree and no functionality) as raph59 above in live device preview (same network), SCORM Cloud, and one other web server.

Are they on the same local network?
