How to question

I’m working on a project and need some guidance.  I want to ask a question, have it report to my LMS, and, if the question is answered correctly, skip to the next question, or, if the question is answered incorrectly, go to a video clip slide and then go to the next question.  Is it possible to do this with the quiz question templates or is there a more detailed set of steps I need to follow to get it to work correctly?  Any guidance would be appreciated!

This should be able to be done with how you have it set up currently. Does the learner need to answer all of the questions correctly in order for the LMS status to show complete/passed? Or would you like them to simply answer all the questions? I notice you do not have a results slide with a retry option in your project.

OP is not talking about default quiz slides, as you can read in her answers to me.

I have attached my project.  I intended for them to just get one go at each question.  I also did not use question slides but made the question slide myself with buttons.

Thank you!

That was not clear in your original question. You were talking about ‘quiz question templates’, that is why I supposed you meant the master slides. If you use templates from a third resource, please contact them.

I’m sorry, but I do not download files from unknown origin. You can insert screenshots, and will try to help you.  It will be just some navigation commands in that case, and forget about the custom playbar which will have to be replaced by custom navigation.

I’m sorry to be unclear.  I was asking if using the quiz templates would work instead of how I was trying to accomplish the task.

Which quiz templates, where did you get them?

I know only about quizzing master slides in a Captivate theme. Never have used any quiz template. Have a look at:

Quiz slides are based on master slides (not on a template) which are part of a theme. A template in Captivate is something totally different (bit obsolete), it is a cptl file which can be used like a dot template in Word.

First question is easy: set up the Success action in the Quiz Properties to ‘Go to Next Slide’.

Now for Failure, you have to tell me how many attempts you provide for the question. I may offer you a workaround.

BTW I have published a sequence of 5 artciles in this portal explaining the default setup o Quizzes, and 6 about tweaking that default setup. Could be interesting for you.
