Hi, I’m sort of new to Adobe Captivate, and I’m having an issue sharing my project.  I’ve created two responsive “test” projects, both with three slides, and when I publish them to HTML 5 and then click on the index.html on my computer it works fine.  I zip the folder send it to my friend, she clicks index.html and gets a plain blank white page…not the start page with the play button icon…just… NOTHING.

This happens on her phone and on her desktop

It happens whether I send her a zip file, or share the project folder from Microsoft OneDrive or SharePoint.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?  i want to make sure I can share my onboarding project before I invest all the hours into creating it.

Thanks.

All published projects are meant to be uploaded to a webserver… Not so difficult, there are free possibilities around (look at Amazon AWS, just one example).

When you don’t really understand HTML5 your answer makes no sense…..also I have been working for 3 days created a couple different types of courses and interactive and I cannot publish.    I am looking for a new authoring tool this is not friendly at all. Thank you

Are you on Windows, running with Run as Administrator option?

It is not Adobe who decided to prevent using Flash Player, where everything was very simple and standardized.

All HTML5 output needs to be uploaded to a webserver to work correctly. Then send the URL to those you want to give access.

Hi Lieve,

Is there any way to publish a 360 project and have it work without uploading to a webserver?  I built a 360-degree tour for someone and it works great until I publish it (I can click on the index.html and it opens fine but once I click on the hotspot, there is no way to close them – the closing icon is not there).

Thanks,

J
