Typekit fonts not working on LMS
(7)

Hi
I am using Captivate 2019 and have 2 Typekit fonts in my HTML5  course.  The fonts work when I upload the course to my website for a client to look at, but when I send them a .zip file the fonts revert back to Times New Roman.

When I publish I am unable to add the Typekit Domains as it is greyed out, even though I have used Typekit fonts.

I have also added a link between the <head> elements of the index page to the CSS, but that also doesn’t work.

This is extremely stressful as my client needs the eLearn, please help!

OK, so after a lot of mucking around I finally realised that the problem was with the PageUp LMS eLearn testing environment.  It’s a space that you upload an eLearn to to see if it’s OK before it goes live.

The PageUp LMS UAT version blocked the Typekit fonts from being displayed, once the eLearn was pushed live, the fonts worked!  Hallelujah!

Thanks for that feedback. Difficult to guess that type of error causes.

Did you try to clear the Preferences? With CP2017 I had to log out of the CC app a couple of times when Tk in CP seemed to misbehave. It was mostly solved after logging in the CC app and restarting CP. Maybe you could give that a try?

You cannot send the folder, for Tk fonts the course needs to be published on a webserver, which has been added as domain when publishing the course.

Did you do that?

Yes, the course gets uploaded to an LMS and I have added the domain in the Publish window.

For some reason the Typekit Domains entry is always greyed out, so I have to fool Captivate by adding a new text box, apply the Typekit font and then delete it again, then the Typekits Domains field becomes available again when I publish, but it’s still not working.

That is a weird issue, I never had to ‘fool’ Captivate. Do you have a CC account, which means you have more extensive Typekit plan than the free plan coming with Captivate? Free plan allows to indicate only one domain when publishing. You cannot combine localhost with the domain of the LMS.
