(3)

Greetings fellow Captivate Community,

After having created some projects in Apples iMovie. I am now upgrade myself and hopefully career to Adobe Captivate. Any useful suggestions on how to traverse this journey will be greatly appreciated.  (Im using a Mac). I plan on learning the software in becoming an Instructional Designer and then getting projects In the MENA region of the world.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Captivate community! There are a lot of great resources available for new users. The posts and forums on this site are monitored by experts and Captivate engineers, and questions are always answered promptly. The eLearning Brothers YouTube channel also has some fantastic tutorials and recordings of our weekly webinars, quite a few of which are about Captivate and other Adobe products. For hands-on experience, check out the Quick Start projects and the templates available in the Captivate asset portal. Diving into these projects and seeing how they are built is a great way to get your feet wet in the tool.

Best of luck!

– Andrew

Thanks Andrew for your reply. I have downloaded a good deal of info from your sight starting with storyboarding. I enjoy your hard work. Thanks for the support.

This is not a real tutorial, but a summary of what I consider to be the biggest stumbling blocks for any starting Captivate user. It was written for an older version of Captivate but is still valid. Maybe you could add ‘Mastering Fluid Boxes’ if your purpose is mainly on responsive projects. Captivate is NOT a video tool, it is an eLearning authoring tool.
