What is this black box behind my mouse pointer?

I’m a previous user of Captivate 2017 and 2019. I’ve changed jobs, been asked to use Camtasia and hated it. Now I’ve downloaded the trial version of Captivate 2019. Just recorded my first software demo and everywhere that my mouse clicked there is a solid black box behind the mouse pointer blocking the view! I can’t select it. What is it and how do I turn it off?

Hello, this was considered a priority in November of 2019. Is there any update on it as I am experiencing the same issue.

I am not a Mac user, but are you on the most recent version of CP2019? Version number should start with 11.5

Thanks, Ajit. I forgot to ask about the OS, should do that all the time. Personally as a Windows user I am not able to help Mac users at all.

Sorry I should have included that. I am also a former Windows 10 Captivate 2019 user. I tried to download the Won version and install it via my Parallels Windows environment, but I did not have enough space in that partition of  my system. I was hoping that would have been the solution.  Is there a way that I can be notified when the engineers fix the known issue for iOS Mojave? I won’t be able to make the purchase until then. Makes me sad.

Hi Monica,

This is a known issue and it comes with specific updates of OS X. Product team is aware of it and looking into it on priority. We will let you know once we have any update on this.

Regards,

Ajit

Has this issue been fixed?  You were looking into it ‘on priority’ as of last November?

BTW I started a sequence of three blogs about software simulations. Only the first is already posted here, still busy with details of the two remaining ones:

That is very strange, never did see it and I have created quite a lot of simulations.

Can you clear the cache and clean the Preferences?
