Where should we go? Adobe Support Community or here?
So we now have 2 places to post Captivate things and no real guidance on which to use when?
There’s HERE : elearning.adobe.com/discussions
There’s HERE: Adobe Support Community
I realize you want to keep AS Community-Captivate for archival purposes, but then are we, moving forward supposed to be posting things instead in addition to?
Raph
EDIT: Okay, just learned one thing. If you are in a hurry you would want to go the Community Support because THIS post is currently sitting in a queue waiting to be approved by an admin. On the other hand chrome refuses to do my original post (i had to do it [

I have to say I find it really confusing too. Plus navigating here is difficult, I cannot find a listing of my posts (I have been trying to find one of your really helpful answers and don’t know if it is here or on the forum). Add to this that I have been unable to log into the community forum now for some time and despite spending ages trying to get support online only end up being frustrated. Adobe’s online support used to be excellent but now is no longer I am sad to say. Adobe needs to sort the mess out.
I am very sorry and understand your feelings. Please do not hesitate to tell what you are looking for. Often I need to post a link to my personal blog, even though I have a similar post here in the community, because I cannot find that post. Searching is a problem, both in the Adobe forums and here in the portal.
What is your login problem in the Adobe forums? Over there I am a moderator, and maybe I could find someone to help you out. Or you can post your questions about Captivate here, I daily visit both platforms.
You may remember that I am not working for Adobe, just want to help Captivate users because I believe that Captivate is a great tool even with the not so great support.
Thanks Lieve.
To illustrate what I mean, I received email notification of your reply but when I access the Community with Captivate open (so the one for elearning) I can’t find it. I need to open it in a browser to locate it directly. If I did not have the email I would not be able to find this.
I asked a question some time ago about creating a custom MCQ style question where I could create a pool of acceptable answers. The user would need to type these in. You kindly directed me to a post on your blog I think. I wanted to revisit this today, but instead have spent two hours trying to find it, 90 minutes of which has been spent on a chat with Adobe support and getting nowhere (I have been unable to log into the community forums for weeks now despite trying multiple PCs and browsers, but Adobe’s support is awful.)
I note also that this area is termed Community, so will be confused with the community forums. Whoever designed this mess? Adobe should not rely on customers to provide primary support. One of the reasons I originally went for Captivate was because of my experiences of Adobe support. Adobe has some great resources, but it is almost as if it expects customers to help others.
Captivate is indeed a great product, but Adobe’s support has taken a nose dive. What a shame.
I’m sorry that I cannot remember your question about the custom MCQ, especially since you want a randomness about it. Notifications of answers are automatically sent when you ask a question in the Adobe Forums (those are not accessible from within Captivate). From the amount of answers I have posted here in the eLearning Community, which seem never to get any feedback I suspect that this automatic notification is not existent here at all. If that is correct, I have been asking for years to add such a notification. Most users do not want to subscribe to notifications, but an OP wants an answer to a question, correctN
No problem: I have found it:

I for one certainly appreciate what you do. I will let you know how I get on. I just have to find the time to experiment.
I am daily screening those two locations (and many other) for Captivate questions. At the Adobe forums I am a moderator. There moderation is partially automated (not very well) now and happens 24/7. In this community moderation is only by staff, and as you experiences can take quite a while. You can conclude what you want….
