Hi,

can anyone help me? I would like to know some couple of Things About libriary.

I normally Import to my Captivate Project first of all  TTS  files , for each Frame I have one Audio file. And after validation of the project I replace those files with original Audio files. So now my Question is, is there any possibilty, that I can replace those TTS files in Libriry with original Audio files (lets say each original Audio file has the same Name as TTS for the particular frame) without importing original files again on each frame?

Thanks in Advance!

Hello Lieve,

thank you. Yeah sorry I meant slides. Audio files I create on an external TTS Platform and afterall insert them on each slide respectively. I wil try that workflow you suggested.

I use sometimes the Edit approach because I create the ‘real’ audio in Audition, and roundtrip with AU in that case. However I didn’t know about your workflow.

Here is a link to a blog post about Libraries, You could also have all the new clips in an External Library and drag them from that library.

I suppose you mean ‘slide’ when you talk about frames, and slide audio on each slide.  Frames are used in micronavigation. Default setup for a Captivate published file is to play at 30 frames per second.

You don’t tell how you create the  Audio files?  You can use the Edit with menu on the audio clip name in the Library. But personally I find this workflow easier:

  • Import all the new audio clips in the Library, make sure they are labeled correctly.
  • Go to the first slide, drag the correct audio clip on the slide, it will automatically replace the TTS clip
  • Use PgDown to go to the next slide and repeat the process.
