Hi everyone… I am trying to delete a video that is in my library because it is flash based and I’m in the process of removing flash.
When I go to delete it I get a message saying the “item cannot be deleted because it is being used by the following locked/hidden objects : Video on Project Template.”
I’m not sure where I can go to locate this video since I created this program from scratch – I didn’t use a template.
Any suggestions?
See if you can find the video in your Captivate Library. Right-click on the object and select Usage. If you are lucky it will tell you where you might find the object currently in use. You might also take a look at your Master Slides to see if it’s located there. Even if it’s on a master slide that is not in use for your filmstrip it will remain as part of the project file.
There have been issues with cptl files since quite a while. It seems that this project is based on such a template file, was created with the option ‘File, New from Template’. Can you find the original template file?
I suppose you are talking about a video in FLV format. Is it used in the project (right-click and Usage option)? It may have been used in the template, but not in the project…
