Making slide views mandatory to take up quiz

Hello, is there a way to make the project in such a way that the user must take view all slides before being able to take up the quiz in Captivate 9?

If you are publishing your course with eLearning reporting turned on, you can make a certain number of slides or a percentage of total slides a requirement of your Success/Completion Criteria. You can find these settings by performing the following steps

  1. Click on the Edit dropdown menu (Adobe Captivate menu on a Mac)
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Open the Quiz Category and select the Reporting subcategory
  4. Select Slide Views under Success/Completion Criteria

Enforced navigation will help, but as Lieve suggested, forcing someone to sit in front of a computer screen for every single slide in an eLearning course can sometimes have the opposite of the intended outcome (especially adult learners). In the end, the stakeholder for your course can choose this option, but as a qualified learning development practitioner, I usually advise against it.

Hmm… did I understand this question wrongly? Setting up slide views in the Completion criteria will not allow to restrict access to the quiz slides until all content slides have been viewed. At least, with the LMSs I have been using that is not possible.   In my answer I mentioned Forced view, but to add on an idea, not as answer to the question which was to replace the navigation by the playbar by custom navigation.

Not necessarily. I was just offering supplemental information that may help the OPs situation. It wasn’t clear what was trying to be achieved here.

You will have to get rid of the default playbar and use custom navigation. I don’t know how you want to force the learner to ‘view’ (not to understand) all slides, have some blogs about possible workflows. You provide the button to navigate to the quiz only on the last content slide, which can be reached only after have visited all other slides.

Since it is a very vague question need more details to give better suggestions/ Is it a purely linear project, or do  Navigate visited slides only’. And take out the links to all quiz slides from that TOC.
