I deleted two buttons from my Quiz results project slide. I see the buttons still there on the master results slide view, but when I reset the project slide, the buttons do not reappear.
I am unable to insert a new quiz results slide with those default buttons. And I believe the changes (deletions) I made in my project results slide is preventing my widget from posting the results to a google document.
I tired to make a new project, but even starting fresh with a new quiz results slide, the buttons are still missing meaning the changes I have made are now a default? How can I restore the original results slide?
Thanks,
Grace
Working on a random generated 20 question exam from a large exam pool (120 questions). My company’s (DOE) policy is that. The learner cannot retake the material and then the test for 24 hours. Is there a way in the Preferences tab to set this up?
I do not delete any buttons from slides, especially if they are coming from quiz feature. I just move them out of the slide – not delete -, and when you run the course buttons do not show on the screen.
I think you delete the master slides buttons. Could you close the Captivate and reopen it with a fresh new project.
What were the buttons you deleted?
If it was the Review Quiz button, try opening your Preferences window and navigating to the Quiz > Settings subcategory and selecting Allow User to Review the Quiz. If it’s already checked uncheck it, click OK and then return to the preferences and check it once more. It should replace the missing button.
If it was the retake button, try opening your Preferences window and navigating to the Quiz > Pass or Fail subcategory and selecting more than one attempts or Infinite Attempts and make sure that Show Retake Button is checked. Unchecking it, clicking OK and then rechecking should return it if it’s already checked.

I need to post each comment with link separately or you may have to wait days before it is moderated.
Buttons on quiz and score slides are embedded objects. They have functionality built in and you should NEVER delete them. You can turn them off if a check box to do so is available. That is the first you should learn when starting with quizzes.
I cannot help you with the widget, which will be an external widget. Are you sure it is compatible with HTML5 output?
Aout restoring the original master slide, which theme do you use? Master slides are one of the components of themes. If you use one of the packaged themes in Captivate, can tell you how to restore the original theme. Or you cant try to copy a results master slide from another theme.
