Getting Illustrations for Adobe Captivate project
(15)

Hi,

I’m working on one of the projects in Adobe Captivate. For this, I need background graphics (illustration) to make the project appear beautiful & relevant. Can someone suggest me where can I get such visuals?

I don’t have much knowledge about drawing images on any other software.

Thanks & Regards

Tushar

Bit off topic, but often underestimated: where do you find sound effects for eLearning courses? Here is a link to the sound effects freely provided by the BBC:

http://bbcsfx.acropolis.org.uk/

Katrina Maria Baker pointed to this link on LinkedIn, but found it interesting to post it here as well. They are copyrighted BBC but may be used freely for personal, educational and research use.

Thank you very much Lieve for recommending this website. I can see some really great sound effects available here. I’ll definitely use them to make some awesome storyboards for my portfolio.

I use Storyblocks. They are not quite as beautiful and as vast as Adobe Stock, however, the price is much more affordable. https://www.storyblocks.com/

Assets Library has a dedicated Assets button top right of the Big Button bar. One click less…

However: this feature is recent, only available for version 11.5 which is the second release of CP2019. Do not search for it when you are on an older version.

You also have access to Adobe Stock, either from the Assets or directly. You can have 10 images for free.

There are a lot of sites around where you can have images to be used for free, if it is not for commercial use.

The best place to get Illustrator visuals would be at a graphic stock website like Adobe stock or Shutterstock. Those are paid subscriptions. But you can also find free high-quality photographic background images at sites like

https://www.pexels.com/search/background/

https://unsplash.com/backgrounds

Or vector (illustrator type backgrounds) at:

https://www.freevector.com/vector/background

I hope that helps!

From within Captivate – you should be able to go to  Media >> Asset Library…

then choose Images and search through what is available there.

You can also look at some pre-made themed projects as well.

Hopefully that helps you get started.
