I love this idea because it’s timely and relevant. You did a great job with the Ask Maribel section which gave insight into what choices would be best for her. If I could offer any suggestions at all, it would be to create specific feedback such that if the participant chooses ‘sit only’ desk, then suggest they touch base with Maribel to see what she likes about her desk and what slows down her work. Same with the other choices. Overall I love the design, choices, interactivity and the artwork.
Thank you for the feedback, I am always welcome to suggestions!
I agree with you, that would make for a more meaningful learning experience. I like your idea about having Maribel provide feedback regarding user choices.
Thank you again for looking and taking time to comment!
Hi Aislinn Lowrey.
I’m not sure if you’re up to some critique. Anyway, here it comes:
First: I do not quite get the interactive story. On my first try I selected all the choices (wall decoration, kind of desk and plant) on that screen with the dark background and missed somehow the visual experience of being in Maribel’s ‘Home office’. I then tried it again and this time I clicked Maribel’s avatar to ‘ask her some questions’ . And then the illustration of her room came up with all the choices in-situ. This was the much better, more immersive experience. I think on the dark background screen I would just offer to ask Maribel some questions instead of giving here already the opportunity to decorate the space. It’s also better to listen first to Maribel’s preferences before making decisions just on spec.
Second: I have issues with repetative music loops. The guitar tune becomes a little tiresome. No one would listen to this at home. The look through the window indicates a big city with skyscapers. Maybe the window could be slightly opened and distant street noises would be audible (cars, horns, sirens, aeroplane – I’m just thinking aloud).
Third: A few more choices for decoration would be great (chair, blinds, cat or dog ?
Otherwise a fine idea
Klaus
Hello,
I’m always up for critique! Thank you for your thoughtful response, I agree with you – especially on the questions. I had some higher hopes for this, but alas saved it until the eleventh hour.
I also agree with you on the music loop and will certainly take it into consideration for the next challenge.
Thank you again for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
Aislinn
