Captivate: Multiple Choice Questions Slide – any answers are correct

I am wanting to create a slide with a multiple choice question where learners need to check off any 3 of the 6 choices before moving on. Is this possible? I have the question and answers set up, but am not sure how to allow any 3 answers to be correct.

Isn’t this a multiple correct answers situation?

@ashley44579731  You may not have read my comment, where I asked for clarifications. Multiple choice, multiple correct answers can be used in two ways:

  • Without partial scoring: in that case the question will be successfully answered only when all correct answers are given. This is certainly not what is wanted.
  • With partial scoring: in that case the answer is considered to be correct when at least one correct answer is given. That could be an approach in this case but only if the score is not important at all. If the learner gives 3 out of 6 answers it will never lead to the full score for this question.

Still waiting for clarifications… seems that the user has already found an answer?

Design of quiz slides with partial scoring is that the question will be considered as being ‘correct’ even if not all correct answers are marked.  Score will be correct. You didn’t mention if that ‘question’ is meant to be scored or if it is sort of a Survey question, since you mention ‘any 3….’ it feels like the last. Can you confirm please?

With a custom question this would be perfectly possible, could write out a blog with a step-by-step workflow. But I need first to get an answer to my question: do you need scoring, and if yes, how do you set up correct answers?
