Are you on Windows? There is a general issue after the most recent Win update. The Captivate team is working day and night trying to figure out the cause of the problem. Can you try this workaround: disconnect from the network and Internet, start Captivate without those connections (preferably with Run as Administrator setup). After starting correctly you try to reconnect. For many users this is working.
