I recommend to install moodle, using this free lms on your company server you will be able to upload your activity using a scorm package. have a nice day.

You have to understand that a Captivate course published to HTML5 is like a website. And a website is also only fully functional when it is on a webserver.   Locally previewing (using localhost) will work in some circumstances,  but not for everyone at all. What is so difficult about setting up a webserver? It can have limited access, only those having the URL will be able to see it. Your IT people will know perfectly that this can be done securely.

It was much easier with SWF output, when you could have an interactive pdf or an exe file available but that time is over and out.

Sure, hope you have enough arguments for the discussion. Don’t forget the necessity to have JSON codec enabled server (for the PNG images).

Upload the published folder to a webserver. The server needs to support JSON.

You can then offer the URL to the index.html file in the folder. Here is an example of such a link to a short Captivate example on my domain:

http://www.lilybiri.com/published/PoolReview/index.html

The folder was ‘PoolReview’ (case sensitive). This part of my domain (….published) works as a webserver for me. Maybe you have already a webserver in the company?

Hi, I guess you have two solutions: zip the files and send the zip to your trainees who will unzip them and browse your module locally on their computer. Or upload the files to a web server which support http protocol, such as an intranet server.

Sorry to disagree. Sharing the published folder will not allow other people to watch the eLearning course as designed, unless for exceptionally simple courses (PPT like and only text). Many features of Captivate can only be functional when published on a webserver, will not expand on that. If you follow the forums everywhere you would be aware of this because there are tons of mentioning this problem.  It is not only about supporting http but also about supporting JSON and being able to show Adobe fonts which are limited to the domains specified for them.
