I recommend just for video editing or screen recording, using another options, like camtasia, premier pro or OBS studio.

Please give the full version number. There have been many releases under the common label CP2019.  The only supported release at this moment for Window is 11.5.5.553.  Repeating: you find that number under Help, About Captivate.

Can you answer my other questions as well?

That is the most recent version on Windows. Do  you use a webcam? Did you install applications coming with that webcam? Some users reported that there was a conflict between such an application and Captivate.

The version you mention is for Windows but you talk about a MacBook?

Is it possible to mention the full version number you are using? You can find it under ‘Help, About Captivate’.

If you are on Windows, do you run Captivate with the feature ‘Run as Administrator’? Especially for capture processes like a Video Demo this is important.

Do you use multiple monitors? You need to capture on the primary monitor.
