The blog above does not address unicode at all and does not answer the question above.

I’ve tried to use unicode in Captivate without success. Even using a Web Safe font does not work. Captivate doesn’t seem to recognize unicode, while our browsers do. For example, you can’t get the emojis to show up in a Captivate caption or shape. They appear as unsupported characters. (a square) 🍕 The pizza here is a unicode emoji. All devices now support this type of unicode. But sadly, it seems Captivate does not.

The most recent version of Captivate is 11.5, still far away from 19. I suspect you mean CP2019, but it has multiple versions. The main ones were 11.0, the most recent is 11.5.5.
